Free and Forced Vortex Profiles

The training set should have its own pump, storage and table so that it can work on its own. In order to create different vortex profiles in the training set, there should be 3 different diameter discharge funnels. Forced vortex in the training set must be provided by a motor. The power of the DC motor used in the training set should be 90Watt. In order to create the vortex profile in the training set, there should be a steel scale with horizontal and vertical vernier.

The hopper rotation in the trainer should be able to be adjusted precisely. The training set should have a speed sensor. The training set should have a digital rev counter. The trainer water reservoir should be transparent so that the vortex formation can be fully observed. The water chamber diameter of the training set should be at least 250mm in diameter. The training set should have a drain valve so that the water in the reservoir can be drained when necessary.

  1. The trainer must be designed for the demonstration of the Free and Forced vortex.
